  on p. 26-27 they talk about how the lunar positions on vat 4956 fit 588/7 bce!!!.

  "clearly, much of the astronomical data in vat 4956 fits the year 588 b.c.e.

  in your opinion what is the best way to stop drinking?

  i have found myself drinking more and more since i realized that the truth was a lie just to quiet my mind.

  it's not like i am a drunk or anything, it hasn't affected my work or relationships, it is that i really don't like being a slave to anyone or anything including delicious beer.

  mmmm beer.... so to avoid being a slave to a habit, i have determined to stop drinking.

  i have long had an idea that i think is a very powerful tool in reaching even hard-nosed jw's.. .

  it would consist only of actual photographic scans of various documents, articles, photographs such as these from marvin shilmer's blog: (see next panel).

  there would be no extraneous non-official text whatsoever.. it would be published the size of an old life magazine and sent anonymously to jw's at their homes.. the cover would clearly contain the words: "all contents originally published by watchtower bible &tract society".

  I was with an annointed today

  i was with a fellow annointed one today, she is presently in her 80s, she keeps pondering on the new assignment she would receive upon arriving in heaven, she said that her hope had been made sure and the second sealing has been confirmed, she said she may be assigned to welcome ressurected ones in some part of the world or she may need to take up the responsibility of directing orderliness.

  she continues to mention how delighted she would be to see some fellow annointed folks who had remained faithful then she goes on and on encouraging young ones like me who just started partaking to remain faithful till the end so that my hope can be made sure.. .

  being a new partaker myself, i cant stop thinking how one could live arround this fantasy this long.

  a huge number of jws have mental illnesses.

  i knew someone with a schizophrenic disorder and he would occasionally forget/refuse to take his pills which made for some very embarassing moments at the meetings and on service.

  he would come to our house claiming he is jesus christ in the flesh and would get upset with anyone that didn't believe him.

  i posted a lengthy concern a while back about my 23 year old daughter on the verge of baptism.

  the good news is she still hasn't progressed past studying - no door knocking thank god.

  the bad news is she's still studying, attending meetings, etc and i am still very much a "satanic influence.

  I hate to break it to you (and her) but even IF she gets baptised it doesn't mean the level of social integration will change at all. It may, it may not, it depends how cliquey the young ones are in her congregation and the surrounding ones. And also if they think she will "fit" in with them.

  If they are up to no good, then the last thing they want hanging around with them is an Uber righteous newly baptized person, so she will remain shut out of most things just as she is now. It does depend on the congregation though.

  In my congregation where I was born into it, socially we were VERY accomodating, probably because nothing was worthy of being hidden from prying eyes. We had a brilliant but eccentric mentally unstable young man in his late 20's early 30s and he was never excluded and came everywhere with us, we accepted him as a part of the furniture.

  Fast forward to my last (current) congregation and during my last 10 years there it is ME who was / is socially excluded by the young ones. I've had it several times where they tell me to my face what a great time they had on the beach (or doing whatever) yesterday! They are so ignorant they defy description.

  Make her read this please so she can see the bigger picture and save herself a lifetime of grief and missed opportunites.
